Jon Adam was born in 1961, and was brought up amid the farming and coastal landscape of Cornwall. He has painted all his life and is self taught without formal training.

In the 90s he held solo exhibitions in Cornwall where he lived for many years, and then in 2000 he moved to Dorset. Here he established a studio and permanent exhibition space for his work in West Bay, Bridport.

Since then he has built up a strong client base and works regularly to commission.
